- roll and move around the board. land on a city, airport or utility nobody owns? buy it, or it goes up for auction.
- land on something someone else owns and pay them rent. own every city of one colour to double the rent and start building houses, then hotels.
- short on cash? sell buildings, mortgage, or trade. if you still can't pay, you're bankrupt and everything goes to whoever you owe.
