how to play hooked online
- the host picks the song list: all time top 100, or current top 100. either way it is wall-to-wall hits, and you see each song’s rank at the reveal.
- each round plays a free iTunes preview. choose how much you need to hear: 1 second (1000 pts), 3 seconds (700), 7 seconds (450) or 15 seconds (250). you can listen longer, but your prize drops to the longest snippet you have heard.
- type the song title to guess — spelling close enough counts, and you can keep guessing. the first three correct guessers also earn a speed bonus of +150, +100 and +50.
- when everyone has it (or time runs out) the song, artist and chart rank are revealed. most points after the last song wins.

The host chooses one of two lists: all time top 100 (the most-streamed songs ever on Spotify), or current top 100 (the most-played songs in the USA on iTunes right now, loaded live from Apple). Songs play from their free iTunes previews, and each reveal shows the song’s rank on its list.
How does scoring work?
A correct title from 1 second scores 1000, from 3 seconds 700, from 7 seconds 450 and from 15 seconds 250. The first three correct guessers also earn +150, +100 and +50.
Can I keep guessing?
Yes. Wrong guesses cost nothing, and spelling close enough counts. Your points tier is set by the longest snippet you have heard.
