how to play word race online
- everyone races to guess the same secret 5-letter word at the same time. you get six guesses.
- after each guess the letters change colour. green: right letter, right spot. yellow: in the word, wrong spot. grey: not in the word.
- you can watch everyone's colours fill in as they go, but not their letters. those show up when the round ends.
- solving it scores 500, plus 100 for every guess you had left over and up to 300 for speed (the faster, the more). first to solve it gets another 100.
- didn't get it? you still score 20 for each green on your best row.
quick tip: Open with a crisp vowel-and-consonant starter like STARE or CRANE to narrow possibilities in two guesses.
